The 1st Monsoon Camp 2026 marked a significant milestone for Kyokushin Centre, Howrah, West Bengal, as the event successfully brought together Karateka, parents, instructors, and branch leaders in a celebration of learning, unity, and growth.
A major highlight of the camp was the fourth visit of Shihan Steven Foo, Global Partnership Director of IKAK, whose presence once again inspired participants through world-class technical instruction, leadership mentoring, and valuable life lessons. Throughout the camp, Shihan Steven emphasized the vision of “My Mission, Your Vision,” strengthening collaboration within the IKAK community through initiatives such as the Parents’ Meeting and the North India Branch Chief Meeting.
The camp also welcomed the Branch Chief of Chhattisgarh, instructors from Uttar Pradesh, and their participants, providing an opportunity to strengthen relationships and share best practices among IKAK leaders. Through Shihan Steven’s guidance, branch chiefs and instructors were encouraged to continue developing their leadership and raise the standards of their respective dojos. Organizers also expressed their intention to welcome more North India Branch Chiefs to future training camps.
One of the most memorable moments of the event was the official recognition of the first set of ARBITA candidates, consisting of 1st Kyu students from Kyokushin Centre. The recognition, presented by Shihan Steven Foo, represents an important milestone for both the dojo and IKAK, highlighting the organization’s continued commitment to developing qualified future leaders.
