International Karate Alliance, KyokushinRyu successfully conducted seminars in Mauritius and Dubai.
The International Karate Alliance, KyokushinRyu successfully conducted seminars in Mauritius and Dubai, led separately by Shihan Phillip Moustache (7th Dan – IKAK Technical Director) and Shihan Francis Françoise (6th Dan). Both instructors delivered intensive training sessions covering updated techniques, kihon, kata, and kumite fundamentals, along with national-level grading examinations.
Shihan Phillip Moustache conducted the seminar in Mauritius, where he also oversaw the senior Black Belt grading, providing advanced instruction and evaluations for higher-level practitioners.
Shihan Francis Françoise led the seminar in Dubai at the start of November, visiting the Al Muharib Karate Dojos in Ajman, Muwaileh, and Rolla, operated by Sensei Manoj. His program focused on technical refinement, and he also conducted a junior grading examination, evaluating young students for their next levels.

Both seminars were well-received by participating dojos, marking another strong step in IKAK’s ongoing effort to strengthen technical development and expand international engagement.
Senior IKAK Shihan Lead Kyokushin Black Belt Examination in Seychelles
The International Karate Alliance – KyokushinRyu (IKAK) Seychelles recently conducted a Kyokushin black belt examination at the Young Lions Dojo in Belonie, Seychelles, led by Shihan Phillip Moustache (7th Dan), IKAK Technical Director and Executive Committee Member, together with Shihan Phillip Verghese (6th Dan) serving as Grading Officer.
The examination was carried out in accordance with IKA-KyokushinRyu standards, maintaining strict discipline, technical accuracy, and full-contact testing. Under the supervision of the two senior Shihan, candidates were assessed in kihon, ido geiko, renraku, kata, physical endurance, and full-contact kumite, ensuring a comprehensive evaluation of both technical skill and fighting spirit.
Shihan Phillip Moustache oversaw the overall conduct of the grading, ensuring consistency with international IKAK requirements, while Shihan Phillip Verghese presided over the examination process, confirming the technical and performance standards of each candidate.
The grading session was witnessed by instructors, karateka, and supporters, reflecting the continued growth and strong organizational structure of Kyokushin under IKAK in Seychelles. The event demonstrated the commitment of IKAK leadership to preserving authentic Kyokushin values and maintaining high examination standards.
